What really sets Falco Caffè apart is our combination of premium coffees and artisanal slow roasting method. We select only the best Arabica beans from top plantations worldwide – selected for quality, taste, and origin.
Our beans are then slowly and carefully roasted at a lower temperature. This slow roasting method brings out the best in every bean: more depth, richer aromas, and a smooth, balanced flavor—without any bitterness.
Our master roasters create refined blends that let you taste something special with every cup of coffee. At Falco Caffè, you don't just choose coffee, you choose a premium coffee experience.
To preserve the optimal freshness and full aroma of your coffee, it is important to store the beans in a cool (not in the refrigerator due to high moisture content), dry, and dark place — away from sunlight, heat, and moisture.
At Falco Caffè, we package our coffee in a high-quality coffee bag with an aroma valve that allows excess carbon dioxide to escape without letting oxygen in. After opening, you can easily reseal the bag airtight with the built-in zipper, so that the coffee retains its flavor and aroma to the maximum.
For the best results, grind the beans just before use. This way, you can enjoy a truly premium coffee experience—exactly as our master roasters intended.
The right ratio of coffee to water is crucial for the taste experience. Whether you choose a strong espresso, a mild lungo, or an aromatic filter coffee—the dosage makes all the difference. Here are our guidelines:
Espresso (25-35 ml water):
Use approximately 7 to 9 grams of freshly ground coffee per shot. This will give you the rich, full flavor that espresso is known for.
Lungo (85-110 ml water):
For a lungo, use 10 to 12 grams of coffee. This is a longer version of the espresso, with more water, but still with a nice coffee strength.
Filter coffee (150 ml per cup):
For filter coffee, we recommend using 9 to 10 grams of coffee per 150 ml of water.
Important: grind your coffee just before brewing for the best results—freshly ground coffee really makes a difference.
Extra tip: Feel free to adjust the quantities to suit your taste. Prefer a stronger flavor? Use a little more coffee. Prefer a milder flavor? Then use a little less. In other words, experiment—that's the only way to discover your perfect cup.
Start with freshly ground beans and experiment with the dosage to find your ideal cup—this way, premium coffee will taste familiar and surprising at the same time. For completeness, see question and answer: "How much coffee should I use for one cup?"
Espresso and filter coffee each offer a unique coffee experience, and at Falco Caffè we get the best out of both thanks to our premium beans. The difference lies mainly in how the coffee is brewed, which affects its taste, texture, and character. An espresso is made by forcing hot water under high pressure (approximately 9 bar) through finely ground coffee in a short time (25-30 seconds). This produces a concentrated, intense flavor with a rich crema—that velvety foam layer on top. The result is a small, powerful cup of coffee with deep, complex flavors, such as the nutty and fruity notes of our Falco Caffè blends.
Filter coffee , on the other hand, does not use pressure, but allows hot water to slowly drip through coarser ground coffee, often in 2-4 minutes. This results in a softer, lighter flavor in which subtle nuances, such as floral or fruity accents, come out better. It is a clear, accessible coffee, ideal for a quiet morning. In short: espresso is a quick, powerful explosion of flavor; filter coffee is a calm, refined sip.
With Falco Caffè beans, you can enjoy both, depending on your mood. Experiment (there's that word again!) with your brewing method and discover your favorite!
